National Theatre Watch This Space Festival
Each day this weekend there'll be between one and three shows from different Spanish circus groups. Looks pretty wild. Los Gingers Friday 18:15. Atempo Friday and Saturday 21:00. Mumusic Saturday and Sunday 13:00, Sunday 18:15. FREE.
Canary Wharf Jazz Festival
Three days of free jazz at Canada Square Park. Why not? Friday 19:00-22:00, Saturday 13:30-21:15, Sunday 13:00-19:30. FREE.
A Madonna Odyssey
Party at PUNK, Soho in celebration of Madonna's 52nd birthday. A notable event. Sunday 19:00. £8.
Free Theatre at The Scoop
So, two free shows 'Toad Hall!' and 'Don Juan' outside the our favourite Mayor's house. Hum. Nice outdoor venue. Thursday to Sunday 18:00 and 20:00 until September 5th. FREE.
Prince Charles Cinema
Joel&Ethan Coen's The Big Lebowski. Cult film by the Coen brothers, go see! Saturday 15:15.
Tom DiCillo's When You're Strange. A film about The Doors. Some previously unreleased footage and narrated by Johnny Depp. Worth checking out. Friday 13:10 and Sunday 18:30.
Federico Fellini's 8 1/2. The film on which the abomination that was Rob Marshall's movie adaptation of the musical 'Nine' was based. This will better. Despite still being all about Guido, a self-obsessed film director and presumably serial womaniser...Sunday 20:30.
Weekday Matinees - £5.50/£1.50 Members, Eve/Wkend/Bank - £6.50/£4 Members.
And still on...
