Dogruff and Dickie Beaux
Dogruff regularly DJs at Club Wonky playing Dancefloor Indie, 80s and Classic Pop. Dickie Beau, is a queer performance artist whose work is an avant-garde blend of cabaret, performance art, music hall, theatre and clowning. 16 July at the ICA 10pm in the bar, FREE.
Festival of Paper
Opening 16 July, this exhibition at Basket House Village Universe brings together Lynn Hatzius, Fiona Hepburn and Mildred Rambaud, three London based artists who each share a different understanding of the subtleties and otherworldly qualities of paper. Performances at 3pm each Sunday. Exhibition continues 17th-18th and 24th & 25th 12-5pm.
Reynir Hutber & Toby Huddlestone
The two artists deal with performance and conceptual art as two noticeable trends in artistic thought and production that emerged simultaneously during the 1960s, continued into the 1970s and can still be seen influencing many younger emerging artists today with their constantly evolving practices. Open 16-18 July 12-6pm at ROOM Gallery.
Hotel Medea
Hotel Medea, an overnight production in three parts, is an interactive, promenade performance, featuring a vibrant Brazilian party, a soundtrack by internationally renowned DJ Dolores, a quasi-religious ritual, a participatory cabaret show, live video technology and steaming cups of hot chocolate. The performance takes place at Trinity Buoy Wharf July 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31 and August 6 and 7, 11pm-5.30am. All boats leave from north Greenwich pier - O2. Complete trilogy £28.50 (£21.50 concessions, Fridays only), part I only £15 (£11 concessions, Fridays only).
Perfect
Presented by Theatre with Milk Please, a group of interdisciplinary artists, Perfect is a brand new movement based, site-specific performance at Dilston Grove (the physical form of Dilston Grove has inspired the use of the game Badminton in the performance). 16 July 7pm, £5 on the door.
Can You Hear it? Curated by Franko B
Franko B has selected new work from 22 artists to become, what he describes as, “an orchestra of different voices”. The selected works use absence, silence and miniaturisation to tell their stories. The exhibition features a broad range of artistic practice, including performance, painting, video, photography and sculpture by artists based in East London. ArtEvict
A monthly live art event that takes place in derelict buildings and squats around London. Since its conception in December 2009 ArtEvict has established itself as an open yet critical platform for practicing and emerging artists to present new work in live art, bringing ideas to a forum for discussion and re-evaluation. 17 July 5pm onwards, 195 Mare St, Hackney, E8. 15 minute factory

East London Soundscapes
Created by Fruit for the Apocalypse, East London Soundscapes draws together an international group of sound artists and choreographers to celebrate the first World Listening Day. Preview at Café Oto July 16 at 8pm, £7 (music event only), première at secret Shoreditch location July 18 from 4pm (durational music and dance installation), tickets £10 (£7).
