One Man One Stage
Live artist Justin Allen is performing his 'One-Man Stage Piece' (a work-in-progress) at Chisenhale Dance Space Friday 18 June, 6.30pm (so that you can all go watch football at 7.30pm). Admission is £free.
Taking the architecture of a studio theatre and the conventions of a theatre show as its starting-point, One-Man Stage Piece invites both artist and audience to ask themselves a simple question: what am I doing here?
Delicately poised between humour and uneasiness through the vulnerability of a man alone on stage, One-Man Stage Piece attempts to bridge the gap established by the architecture and conventions of theatre.
