Frey Faust, dancer and originator of the Axis Syllabus-universal motor principles (a method for teaching movement), is teaching the morning class at Independent Dance 1-4 June, as well as the Contact class at Moving East 5 June. Working from a logical approach to the mechanisms of the body, his focus is how as opposed to what.
Faust has worked with David Parsons, Donald Byrd, Randy Warshaw, Gina Buntz, Ohad Naharin, Meredith Monk, Merce Cunningham and Stephen Petronio. Just to drop a few fancy names.
