No Soul For a Sale

This is the weekend for birthdays and festivals. Tate Modern are celebrating their 10th birthday and presents No Soul For Sale - A Festival for Independents, a free festival bringing 70 of the world's (cutting edge, they say) independent art organizations together (in a Lars Von Trier style pop-up village), as they take over the Turbine Hall with events, performances, music and film alongside each other without partitions or walls.

Lea Anderson's The Cholmondeleys, also joining the festivities, are performing Quicksilver, a performance that flows through and around the spaces of the gallery (from morning to evening), and involves no less than 30 performers (local young people are joining in).
