The experience of taking a photo with a Polaroid camera and a few moments later holding it in your hand will always be thrilling. Because it’s like magic in a way. Not to mention the characteristics of it – Polaroid photos make time visible in a most ethereal way. Ah, sweet nostalgia. And we think of Polaroid with nostalgia, as we know we can no longer get those instant films. Or so we thought.
A company by the name IMPOSSIBLE has re-invented and re-started the production of films for Polaroid cameras. It’s the revival of Polaroid film and it’s a serious one – Impossible has acquired the complete film production equipment in Enschede (NL) from Polaroid, it has signed a 10-year lease agreement on the factory building, and has engaged the most experienced team of Integral Film experts worldwide. Viva la Polaroid.
All I want to know now is where to get the camera? And will Polaroid continue to be so vintage?
